If you are not a patient group and your request is for an independent medical grant, please click here.

As a general rule, Pfizer Canada supports:
- Registered charities and not-for-profit organizations
- Initiatives in stated areas of focus (please see below)
- Initiatives that are provincial or national in scope
- Projects that directly address patient needs for information, education, and other type of support (as opposed to fundraising events like galas and walks, which we may sponsor on occasion)
- Programs that support health equity and contribute to reducing health disparities
As a general rule, Pfizer Canada will not support:
- Individuals
- Organizations that practice discrimination based on race, creed, gender, age, sexual preference, national origin or other
- Retroactive support for past events or initiatives

Submission Process
Step 1 – Preparing your submission
Submitting a complete request, with all the necessary information, will help optimize the review time and avoid any processing delays. Therefore, please make sure your request includes the following:
- Description of the project
- Target audience
- Rationale with clear objectives, expected outcomes and success indicators
- Detailed budget breakdown
- If the request is for an event, include a draft or final agenda
- Date of initiative (a specific date if the support is for an event, otherwise indicate the timespan of the initiative)
You will also need to provide information about your current Board of Directors, i.e. a list of the members, their occupation and their affiliation, if any, with Government bodies.
Step 2 – Completing and submitting your request for funding
- Access online portal here.
- Complete online form*.
- Upload supporting documents as required.
Note: If your request is to support an event, make sure to submit early and account for processing time since Pfizer cannot provide retroactive support for any type of request.
* Please note that you can save your request at any time during the process and return later.
Step 3 – Internal review of your proposal
Please allow 2-3 weeks for comprehensive review of your proposal. A Pfizer team member may be in touch with you to obtain additional documentation to complete the approval process.
Step 4 – Funding decision
Given the high number of proposals we receive, we are unable to fund every request. Regardless of the decision, you will be notified in writing.
If your proposal is accepted, you will be notified by email. Email will include approximate date of payment along with funding confirmation letter.
If your proposal is denied, you will receive a notification in writing with reason for denial.
